Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.
WHY TROOP 876?
We are committed to serving Midlothian and Richmond, VA and make community service a major part of our program.
We have at least one major outing a month, campouts yearound, and attend summer and winter BSA camps throughout the mid-atlantic.
Most new bridged scouts
achieve First Class by the end of their first year. We are very proud to have graduated over 160 eagle scouts.
We believe scouting should be earned not paid. We keep our dues and trip costs low and earn our budget through great fundraising.
We are sponsored by Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church in Midlothian Village.
We have been an active troop serving the young men and women of Chesterfield County for over 35 years.
If you know someone in the Huguenot District between the 5th through 11th grade who is interested in Scouting, ask them to consider becoming a member of Troop 876.
HIKING MERIT BADGE
Did you know that the Hiking merit badge is one of the hardest Eagle merit badges to earn? Only a small percentage of scouts complete it.
This summer, Troop 876 is focusing on outdoor activity, especially hiking across Virginia. Our goal is to set a record number of hiking merit badges earned in the troop while doing so safely outside.
WHO WE ARE
It takes a village.
Our adult leaders are active contributors to Troop 876, whether it be serving as a coach, merit badge counselor, assistant scoutmaster, fundraiser, or committee member. We know the success of our scouts starts with the success of the family behind them.
